The political atmosphere in Telangana has reached a boiling point as BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on February 4, 2026. KTR’s reaction followed a series of controversial remarks made by the Chief Minister during a municipal election campaign in Miryalaguda. KTR stated that despite Revanth Reddy’s claims of attending prestigious institutions like Harvard, he has failed to adopt the basic etiquette and “Samskaram” (culture) required for the stature of a Chief Minister, accusing him of using “street-level” language against political opponents.
KTR specifically took offense at the Chief Minister’s targeted verbal attacks on BRS founder and former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He remarked that Revanth Reddy’s tendency to “spit venom” on a visionary leader like KCR is merely an attempt to mask his own administrative failures and incompetence. Invoking a famous Telugu proverb by the poet Vemana, KTR compared Revanth’s behavior to “placing a dog on a golden throne,” suggesting that power has not changed the Chief Minister’s inherent nature or refined his speech.
Concluding his critique, KTR warned that the people of Telangana are closely observing the “Jungle Raj” and the personal vendettas prioritized by the Congress government over state development. He alleged that the current administration has abandoned its governance duties to focus solely on abusing the opposition. KTR asserted that the voters would soon give a fitting lesson to the Congress party in the upcoming municipal elections, as the public is growing tired of the deteriorating political discourse in the state.
