A horrific road accident occurred on the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road (ORR) on Saturday evening, resulting in the death of two individuals. The incident took place near Pocharam, within the jurisdiction of the Patancheru Police Station in Sangareddy district. A Hyundai Venue car, reportedly traveling at high speed, lost control and plunged from the main expressway onto the service road below. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely crushed, and two passengers died on the spot.
At the time of the accident, there were seven people in the car, including three men, three women, and a young child. The group was traveling from Shamshabad Airport toward Bachupally when the tragedy struck. The deceased have been identified as one man and one woman. The remaining five passengers, who sustained serious injuries, were immediately rushed to Dhruva Hospital in Patancheru for emergency treatment.
The Patancheru police reached the scene quickly to initiate an investigation and clear the wreckage. Preliminary findings suggest that excessive speed was the primary cause of the driver losing control of the vehicle. Fortunately, no other vehicles were passing on the service road at the exact moment the car fell, which prevented further casualties. The bodies have been shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem, and the families of the victims have been notified.
