Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has once again demonstrated his commitment to rapid governance. After a group of school students from Gajjalavaripalli village in Nellore district posted a video on social media highlighting the poor condition of their roads, the Deputy CM took immediate notice. Moved by the sight of young children struggling to reach school through muddy paths, he directed officials to take swift action to resolve the issue.
Under the Deputy CM’s instructions, the Nellore District Collector and Panchayat Raj officials acted on a war footing. They prepared estimates of ₹86 lakhs to develop the 1.6-kilometer stretch of muddy road that students use daily. Impressively, administrative sanctions for these funds were granted within just a few hours. This new road is expected to benefit not only the students but also the local farmers who have faced transportation hurdles for years.
The Udayagiri constituency is currently seeing a massive surge in infrastructure development under the current government. Through programs like ‘Palle Panduga’ 1.0 and 2.0, approximately ₹55 crores have been allocated for 641 road projects. Additionally, ₹9 crores from SASCI funds are being used to develop major roads across various mandals. This incident serves as a testament to the “Praja Prabhutvam” (People’s Government) philosophy, where public grievances are addressed with record-breaking speed.
