Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, laid the foundation stone for the prestigious Quantum Valley in Amaravati, declaring it the epicenter of India’s future leadership in deep technology. Speaking at the event, Lokesh emphasized that while others are still debating the definitions of Quantum Computing, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has already moved to the implementation stage. He drew a parallel to the IT revolution in Hyderabad, noting that just as Naidu once envisioned making Hyderabad a global IT capital, he is now positioning Amaravati to lead the global Quantum revolution.
Lokesh highlighted the government’s extraordinary pace, describing the current administration as a “Double-Engine Bullet Train Government.” He cited successful track records, such as completing the $15 billion Google Data Center project in just 13 months and reviving the ArcelorMittal project, which had been stalled for a decade in another state, within a single year in Andhra Pradesh. This speed, combined with a proven vision, makes the state the premier destination for high-tech investments and global startups.
Reflecting on the Chief Minister’s foresight, Lokesh shared a personal anecdote about how even he had to use ChatGPT to fully grasp the complexities of Quantum technology after a briefing from the CM. He assured investors, scientists, and students that the Quantum Valley is not a mere real estate project but a comprehensive ecosystem designed to foster innovation and create millions of high-value jobs. The event was attended by Union Ministers Jitendra Singh and Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, signaling strong central support for the initiative.
