Madanapalle Horror: DIG Reveals Minor was Sexually Assaulted and Drowned in Water Drum

The brutal murder of a seven-year-old girl in Madanapalle, Annamayya district, has taken a chilling turn following the release of the preliminary post-mortem findings. DIG Koya Praveen addressed the media, confirming that the minor was subjected to sexual assault before being killed. According to the medical report, the cause of death was drowning, indicating that the perpetrator forcibly submerged the child in a water drum after the assault. The victim’s body was discovered hidden in a neighbor’s house, a discovery that has sent shockwaves through the local community.

The primary suspect, identified as Kulavardhan, is currently absconding, and police have launched a massive manhunt to apprehend him. DIG Praveen noted that the suspect has a prior criminal record and had previously been involved in a legal case that was settled in a Lok Adalat. Law enforcement has now registered a case under the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) and assured the public that they are working towards a fast-track conviction to ensure the suspect receives the harshest possible punishment under the law.

The incident has drawn immediate condemnation from the highest levels of the state government. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha personally reached out to the bereaved parents to offer their condolences and promise swift justice. Minister Sandhya Rani also spoke out, characterizing the attack as an assault on the dignity of society itself. She emphasized that the government maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward crimes against women and children and that this case would be handled in a manner that sends a powerful warning to potential offenders across the state.
