The Andhra Pradesh government has officially greenlit the establishment of a massive new solar power park in the Pari Mandal of Sri Sathya Sai district. With a total investment of ₹1200 crore, the project will have a generation capacity of 200 megawatts (MW). Developed by Yashaswa Power LLP, a subsidiary of CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions, the park is set to be sprawling across 1200 acres in Beechyaganipalli and its neighboring villages. This initiative aligns with the state’s Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024, aiming to strengthen Andhra Pradesh as a premier destination for green infrastructure.
The project is designed with a goal to produce 445 million units of clean energy annually, contributing significantly to the state’s renewable energy targets. Beyond power generation, the solar park is expected to be a major socio-economic driver for the region. Officials estimate that the project will create direct employment for 690 individuals, along with numerous indirect job opportunities in maintenance and support services. The government emphasized that such investments are crucial for drought-prone areas like the erstwhile Anantapur district, providing local youth with alternatives to migration.
Strategically located between major hubs like Bengaluru and Hyderabad, the Sri Sathya Sai district is becoming an attractive spot for industrial investments due to its proximity to national highways and airports. The state government welcomed the investment, noting that it reinforces Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to sustainable development. By integrating aerospace, drone technology, and solar parks in these regions, the administration aims to transform the local economy and provide a robust infrastructure that supports both environmental goals and industrial growth.
