Telangana Should Become a National Model for Industrialization: CM Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has set an ambitious vision to position the state as a national leader in industrial growth. During a recent high-level review, the CM announced a 99-day action plan titled “Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranali,” scheduled to run from March 6 to June 12. He emphasized that the state must lead the country in manufacturing and services, particularly within the 10,000-square-kilometer “Pure Urban Region,” urging officials to have a complete understanding of their departments to ensure effective implementation.

Modernizing Infrastructure and Administration

The Chief Minister issued strict directives to modernize the state’s administrative machinery and infrastructure:

  • Government Buildings: He mandated that no government office should operate from rented premises; every department must plan for its own building in the upcoming budget.

  • Digital Governance: The CM insisted on a full transition to e-office systems, emphasizing that files must be cleared within a stipulated timeframe.

  • Future City: Focus was placed on the 30,000-acre “Future City” project, which he believes will significantly boost the nation’s economic landscape.

  • Musi Development: Plans for the Musi Riverfront development were highlighted, with instructions to explain the positive impact of these changes to the public.

Reforms in Education, Health, and Welfare

Beyond industrialization, Revanth Reddy outlined a roadmap for social sector reforms:

  • Education: The government plans to launch Telangana Public Schools across 100 constituencies to overhaul the public education system.

  • Healthcare: Orders were given to improve medical services in government hospitals and create region-wise medical databases to track public health.

  • Welfare Accuracy: The CM stressed using technology to ensure welfare schemes reach only the genuine beneficiaries, preventing any leakage.

  • The June 2 Goal: The 99-day plan concludes just after Telangana Formation Day (June 2), which the CM intends to celebrate as a festival of progress, with all government offices required to be clean and modernized by that date.
