According to the remand report, the police raid on the Moinabad farm house was met with immediate gunfire. Officers reported hearing shots as they entered the premises and had to shout to identify themselves as police to prevent further firing. The report states that Namit Sharma, who was found with a German-made .32 revolver, intentionally opened fire with the aim of injuring the officers to facilitate an escape. Shockingly, voices from inside were heard encouraging the shooter to continue, promising to take responsibility for any consequences.
The investigation revealed that the accused consumed cocaine by mixing it into their liquor during the party held near the swimming pool. One of the accused, Kaushik, reportedly confessed to procuring the drugs for ₹15,000 per gram from unknown individuals during a business trip to Shimla specifically for this gathering. While the attendees initially denied using drugs, a thorough interrogation led Sarath Kumar to admit the truth, eventually resulting in the recovery of 2 grams of cocaine from him.
The drug tests conducted by the police yielded significant results across two rounds of testing. While the initial live kits showed positives for former MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy, Namit Sharma, and others, a second blood test conducted at Erragadda Hospital confirmed that MP Putta Mahesh Kumar also tested positive for drugs. In total, six individuals, including the MP and the former MLA, tested positive for cocaine and other substances. The police have officially seized the weapon and arrested those involved, noting that the entire party was organized at the invitation of Pilot Rohith Reddy.
