Balan: The Boy continues to receive widespread appreciation from the film industry, with celebrated filmmaker Mani Ratnam becoming the latest prominent personality to praise the movie. Directed by Chidambaram, known for Manjummel Boys, the film is based on a story written by Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films, the movie was released simultaneously in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Annapurna Studios is distributing the film in the Telugu states.
