The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall across parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over the next five days due to favourable weather conditions over the Bay of Bengal and the influence of the Southwest Monsoon. The weather department has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds during this period.
According to the IMD, Telangana is unlikely to witness widespread rainfall, but several districts may receive light to moderate showers with thunderstorms. Gusty winds with speeds of 50 to 60 kmph are also expected in isolated places, prompting authorities to advise people to remain cautious during adverse weather conditions.
In Andhra Pradesh, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by strong winds is also expected over the coming days. The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority said Srikakulam district is likely to receive light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday and urged residents to stay alert and follow weather advisories issued by authorities.
