The differences between Telangana Forest and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha and Congress MLA Kadiyam Srihari intensified after the minister lodged a complaint with Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud. Alleging interference in matters related to the Endowments Department, Surekha sought action against Srihari and expressed dissatisfaction over what she described as attempts to sideline her in Warangal district politics.
The dispute arose after Srihari reportedly held a review meeting on temple development, prompting Surekha to object. She had earlier written to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy seeking a disciplinary inquiry against the MLA, alleging that he conducted an unauthorised review meeting and violated official protocol. TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud assured the minister that the matter would be examined and resolved after discussions with all concerned.
Responding to the allegations, Kadiyam Srihari denied any wrongdoing and said he had only met the Endowments Commissioner to discuss development works, repairs, and recruitment related to five temples in his Station Ghanpur constituency. The former Deputy Chief Minister maintained that elected representatives have the right to meet senior officials and submit public issues, while clarifying that he had not conducted an official review meeting or violated any protocol.
