A major fire broke out on Wednesday at a plastic warehouse in Nandanavanam under the Meerpet Police Station limits in Rangareddy district. The blaze erupted near Metro Bar and spread rapidly due to the large quantity of plastic materials stored inside. The flames soon engulfed a nearby warehouse and spread to adjacent buildings, creating panic in the area.
After noticing the fire, local residents immediately alerted the Fire Department. Three fire engines rushed to the spot, and firefighters worked for several hours to bring the blaze under control. Their timely response helped prevent the fire from spreading further and avoided a potentially larger disaster.
Preliminary reports indicate that the incident caused significant property damage, but fortunately, no casualties were reported. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, though officials suspect it may have been triggered by a short circuit or another technical reason. Meerpet police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
