The assault took place on Wednesday morning as the young girl was heading to school. A man identified as Shabaz allegedly stalked her, coerced her onto his bike upon reaching an isolated spot, and took her to a park in Sanathnagar where he committed the crime. Following a prompt complaint by the victim’s mother, the Sanathnagar police immediately swung into action, registered a case against the accused under the stringent POCSO Act, and took him into custody to expedite the investigation.
