AP Government Clears Long-Pending Promotions for BC Hostel Wardens

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a major relief for Grade-II BC Hostel Wardens by relaxing service rules to facilitate long-pending promotions. The decision brings an end to years of uncertainty and is being welcomed as a significant step toward improving the welfare of government employees.

With the revised service rules, more than 300 Grade-II BC Hostel Wardens across the state are expected to receive promotions in the coming days. Wardens had been requesting amendments to the service rules since 2008, as the existing regulations had delayed their career progression for nearly 18 years.

The BC Hostel Wardens’ Association expressed gratitude to BC Welfare Minister Savitha for resolving the long-standing issue. Officials said the government order paves the way for eligible wardens to receive their promotions, bringing relief and renewed hope to hundreds of employees and their families.
