India’s timeless epic Ramayana is all set to create cinematic history with producer Namit Malhotra’s ambitious adaptation. Ahead of its globally awaited trailer release on July 24, the makers launched the film’s grand promotional campaign with the ‘Pratham Sankalp’ event in New Delhi. The event brought together the film’s entire lead cast on one stage for the first time, making it a landmark moment for Indian cinema.
The film features a star-studded cast, with Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi portraying Goddess Sita. Yash takes on the powerful role of Ravana while also serving as co-producer under his Monster Mind Creations banner. Sunny Deol will be seen as Lord Hanuman, while Arun Govil plays King Dasharatha. The ensemble also includes Shobana as Kaikeyi, Ajinkya Deo as Vishwamitra, Kunal Kapoor as Indra, Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana, and Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, known for the blockbuster Dangal, the film aims to present the epic with authenticity and emotional depth. Speaking at the event, Tiwari said his goal is to bring the values and timeless human emotions of the Ramayana to audiences worldwide, promising a cinematic experience that goes beyond spectacular visuals.
