Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy Makes Strong Remarks on Ministerial Berth

Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy made strong remarks during an informal interaction with the media, responding to criticism over his ministerial aspirations and allegations about multiple posts within his family. He asserted that he has never sought positions for himself and described himself as a “fighter.” He also said that every major political decision he has taken has created a political impact, calling them “revolutionary” moves.

Recalling his political journey, Rajgopal Reddy said that when he resigned as an MLA in the past, nearly 100 legislators campaigned in Munugode to defeat him. He also claimed that when he contested the MLC election, then Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was under immense political pressure, highlighting what he described as his influence in state politics.

Speaking about the formation of the Congress government in Telangana, Rajgopal Reddy said the AICC had assured ministerial positions to six senior leaders before the elections. According to him, five of those leaders were inducted into the Cabinet, while he was the only one left out. However, he maintained that this was not the time to seek a ministerial post and shared his disappointment over not being included in the Cabinet.
