Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu conducted a high-level review meeting at the RTGS center in the State Secretariat to assess the performance of various government departments. During the meeting, the proposed Registration Service Centers (RSKs) to be introduced in Sub-Registrar offices came up for discussion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized that the government’s primary objective is to provide registration services to the public in a transparent and speedy manner. He strongly condemned what he described as false propaganda surrounding the establishment of the Registration Service Centers. “Some people are spreading misinformation that Sub-Registrar offices are being privatized. This is absolutely not privatization,” Chandrababu clarified.
He explained that the RSKs would function in a manner similar to the Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) introduced by the Central Government, which have simplified passport processing. The new system, he said, would ensure direct services to citizens without the involvement of middlemen or harassment. The Chief Minister also directed officials to clear public misconceptions about the policy and widely explain the benefits of Registration Service Centers at the grassroots level.
