AICC Likely to Take Key Decision on Disciplinary Action Against Telangana Congress Leaders

Disciplinary issues have once again become a major talking point in the Telangana Congress. The AICC high command is reportedly set to take a crucial decision today on whether to initiate disciplinary action against Minister Konda Surekha and former minister Chinna Reddy. AICC General Secretary in charge of organisational affairs K. C. Venugopal has been holding a series of consultations with senior party leaders regarding the matter.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud is scheduled to meet K. C. Venugopal at 11 AM today. Telangana Congress affairs in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan is also expected to meet him later. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reportedly met Venugopal on Wednesday evening and discussed the issue. These back-to-back meetings have increased speculation about the high command’s decision.

TPCC Disciplinary Committee chairman Mallu Ravi has reportedly already submitted a report with recommendations to the AICC leadership. It is understood that the committee has recommended that action be taken over the alleged disciplinary violations. The Congress high command’s decision is now being closely watched, as any action against the leaders could have political implications within the Telangana unit.
