BRS Working President KT Rama Rao condemned the arrest of Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy at Shamshabad Airport, calling it a “blatant and undemocratic act” orchestrated under the orders of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
He alleged that Kaushik Reddy was relentlessly questioning the Congress government’s “corruption, ministerial misconduct, and administrative failures,” which has made him a target of political vendetta.
“This is not law enforcement—it’s a calculated conspiracy to silence dissent,” he said.
He accused the Congress-led government of resorting to “petty tactics and baseless cases” to intimidate BRS leaders. “Such cheap stunts will never shake our resolve or morale,” he asserted, adding that the arrest reflects the CM’s desperation to divert public attention from his inability to fulfil electoral promises.
Drawing parallels to the Emergency era, he said Revanth Reddy’s actions are reminiscent of authoritarian rule. “This so-called Indiramma Rajyam is suppressing voices of dissent in broad daylight,” he remarked.
Demanding Kaushik Reddy’s unconditional release, he expressed full faith in the judiciary. “No matter how many false cases they file, they won’t stand in court. BRS will continue to fight for the people,” he declared.
