Kollywood star Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest romantic comedy entertainer, ‘Dude,’ released on Friday (October 17, 2025) and is running successfully with a hit talk. Trade sources indicate that Pradeep has scored a hat-trick hit with ‘Dude,’ following his previous successful films ‘Love Today’ and ‘Return of the Dragon.’ The film made a surprising record collection on the first day at the box office, with the official figures announced by the production house, Mythri Movie Makers.
According to details revealed by Mythri Movie Makers, the film ‘Dude’ collected over ₹22 crore gross worldwide on its first day. The production company released a special poster on social media confirming this massive collection, writing, “Dude is a Blockbuster Hit at the Box Office. Collected ₹22 Crore Gross Worldwide.” Given the weekend, trade sources anticipate that the collections are likely to increase further on Saturday and Sunday.
In India, ‘Dude’ also achieved impressive numbers on its opening day, with trade estimates suggesting a Net collection of ₹10 crore. This includes approximately ₹6.5 crore from the Tamil market and over ₹3 crore from the Telugu market. Directed by Keerthishvaran, the film stars Mamitha Baiju (of ‘Premalu’ fame) opposite Pradeep Ranganathan, with veteran actor Sarath Kumar playing a key role. The movie was produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
