PM Modi Hails Gen-Z as the ‘Greatest Strength of Viksit Bharat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 128th episode of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ declared that the determination and resilience of the country’s Gen-Z is the greatest strength of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). PM Modi emphasized that success is guaranteed, even in difficult times, if one has determination, faith in collective strength, and the courage to fall and rise again.

PM Modi highlighted this resilience by sharing an anecdote from an ISRO drone competition. He watched a viral video where Indian youth, particularly Gen-Z, were attempting to fly drones in Mars-like conditions—specifically, without GPS support, which is not possible on Mars. The drones, which had to rely solely on their cameras and built-in software to navigate, identify patterns, and find landing paths, kept crashing. The Prime Minister specifically praised a youth team from Pune that did not give up after repeated failures, eventually achieving some success in flying their drone under those challenging conditions.

Watching the dedication of these young participants reminded PM Modi of the day Chandrayaan-2 lost communication. He noted that the initial disappointment quickly gave way to the determination that led to the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3. He described Chandrayaan-3’s success as not just a mission success, but a “triumph of confidence that was born out of failure.” PM Modi concluded that the same spark and commitment he sees in the youth and scientists fills his heart with enthusiasm, reinforcing his belief that the determination of India’s youth is the biggest strength for achieving ‘Viksit Bharat’.
