Allegations of Intentional Sabotage
BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has made sensational allegations regarding the recent fire accident at the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Nampally. Speaking at an event in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, KTR claimed that the fire was not an accident but a deliberate conspiracy orchestrated by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to destroy crucial evidence. He specifically pointed to the “Vote-for-Note” case, suggesting that original audio and video recordings were targeted to protect the Chief Minister from ongoing investigations.
Criticism of Government Failures and Unfulfilled Promises
KTR intensified his attack on the Congress government, accusing Revanth Reddy of deceiving the public with “420 unfulfilled promises” made during the election campaign. He asserted that not a single major guarantee has been fully implemented, leading to widespread public dissatisfaction. The BRS leader further alleged that the Chief Minister is using inappropriate language against political opponents to distract from his administrative failures and the confusion currently surrounding institutions like Singareni.
Official Rebuttal and Calls for Inquiry
In response to these allegations, FSL Director Shikha Goel clarified that most sensitive case materials, including those related to the “Vote-for-Note” case, had already been submitted to the court in 2021 and are safe. While some computer systems and property rooms were damaged, officials maintain that digital backups exist. Unconvinced, KTR has demanded a high-level probe by a retired judge or the CBI, questioning why such a secure facility lacked staff during the incident and why it took over three hours to contain the blaze in a single-floor area.
