The long-awaited teaser for ‘Swayambhu’, a grand period action epic starring Nikhil Siddhartha, was released in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari and set in 985 AD, the film explores the ancient origins of the Sengol—a divine sceptre mythologicaly gifted to Shri Ram by Lord Shiva. The teaser, which was screened in a spectacular 3D format at Prasad’s PCX Theatre, promises a gripping narrative where history and mythology collide in a battle for dharma. Producer Pixel Studios has spared no expense, mounting the film on a massive technical canvas that recreates the era of kings with stunning authenticity.
Nikhil Siddhartha appears in his most authoritative role to date, undergoing a complete physical transformation with a rugged beard, chiseled physique, and long warrior hair. The teaser highlights his prowess in intense combat sequences, marking a significant shift from his previous roles. Alongside him, Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh portray powerful, unconventional characters.
