Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission Chairperson, Rayapati Sailaja, is scheduled to visit Nellore district tomorrow, February 25, 2026. According to the official itinerary, she will depart from Tadepalli at 7:30 AM and is expected to reach the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department Guest House in Nellore by 10:30 AM. This visit is part of the commission’s ongoing efforts to engage with district-level administrations and oversee the implementation of women’s safety protocols.
The primary agenda of the visit is her participation in a high-level workshop on the POSH Act – 2013 (Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal Act). The workshop will be held at the Tikkana Hall within the District Collector’s office, starting at 11:00 AM. This session aims to educate officials and stakeholders on legal frameworks and the necessity of creating a safe, professional environment for women in various sectors.
Following the workshop and a scheduled lunch break at 1:00 PM, Chairperson Sailaja will conclude her tour and depart from Nellore at 2:00 PM to return to Tadepalli. Such visits are considered crucial for reviewing the progress of women-centric initiatives and addressing local grievances. The District administration has made the necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the workshop and the Chairperson’s visit.
