“Do Reviews Happen Only After We Wake You Up?”: Harish Rao Slams Revanth Government Over Warangal Projects

Telangana politics heated up as BRS senior leader and former minister Harish Rao launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during his visit to Warangal. Harish Rao mocked the government’s functioning, stating that the Chief Minister only wakes up to conduct project reviews after BRS leaders visit the field and highlight the delays. He specifically pointed out the stagnation of the 24-storey Super Speciality Hospital in Warangal, accusing the Congress government of intentionally stalling KCR’s visionary projects out of political spite.

Regarding the Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme, Harish Rao asserted that 90% of the work was completed during the BRS regime. He criticized the current government for failing to finish the remaining 10% even after nearly two years in power. He alleged that the Congress has failed to acquire even a single acre of land or provide irrigation to any new ayacut in the region. He contrasted the leadership styles by stating that while KCR focused on building a ‘Health City’ for the poor, Revanth Reddy is pre-occupied with ‘Future City’ plans aimed at boosting real estate ventures.

The BRS leader also expressed deep concern over the deteriorating conditions at the MGM Hospital in Warangal. He noted that cardiac surgeries have been halted for over a year and that three oxygen plants installed by the previous government are now non-operational due to negligence. Issuing a stern warning, Harish Rao declared that the BRS has been patient for two years, but will now shift to a “no-compromise struggle” against the government’s failures. He challenged the Chief Minister to a debate in the Assembly without cutting mics or diverting cameras, threatening massive protests if the apathy toward development continues.
