A horrifying act of vengeance has surfaced in Medchal district, where a young man allegedly ruined his cousin’s life after she refused to marry him. According to the police, the accused, identified as Manohar from Annojiguda, had been in love with his cousin for some time and wanted to marry her. However, his anger flared when her family finalized her engagement to another person. Unable to accept that she would belong to someone else, Manohar hatched a depraved plot to destroy her future by intentionally infecting her with HIV.
The crime took a chilling turn as reports suggest Manohar drew inspiration from a recent Telugu film, Raju Veds Rambai. Exploiting a moment when the victim’s family was busy with wedding preparations, he reportedly entered her house and surreptitiously injected her with HIV-positive blood. The incident came to light a few days later when the woman developed a severe fever and fell ill. Upon conducting medical tests, doctors were shocked to find that she had tested positive for HIV, leading the family to discover Manohar’s heinous act.
Following a formal complaint from the victim’s family, the Pocharam police of Medchal district acted swiftly and took Manohar into custody. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed to the crime, citing revenge as his motive. The police have registered a case under relevant sections, and the accused has been arrested. While the victim is currently undergoing medical treatment, local residents and women’s organizations are demanding the harshest punishment for the accused for such an inhumane and life-altering crime.
