Good News for Telangana Farmers: CM Revanth Reddy to Release Rythu Bharosa Funds on March 22

Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao announced that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will release the Rythu Bharosa funds on March 22, directly benefiting approximately 70 lakh farmers across the state. The Minister emphasized that despite the state’s current financial challenges, the government remains firm in its resolve to ensure that farmer welfare programs continue without interruption. This disbursement is expected to provide much-needed financial support to the agricultural sector ahead of the upcoming season.

Addressing procurement concerns, the Minister revealed that the Telangana government has independently started purchasing maize from today to protect the interests of local farmers, even though the Central Government has not initiated procurement. He reaffirmed that the state is committed to ensuring farmers receive fair prices for their produce. This proactive step by the state government aims to prevent distress sales and provide immediate relief to maize cultivators facing market uncertainty.

Furthermore, an Oil Palm Factory is set to be inaugurated by CM Revanth Reddy tomorrow in Narmetta, Siddipet district. Minister Thummala highlighted that this facility will be a significant boost for oil palm growers in the region. To mark this occasion, a massive three-day agricultural exhibition is being organized in Narmetta to showcase modern farming techniques and equipment. The Minister invited all farmers to attend the event and explore the new opportunities available for agricultural advancement.
