“Google-Guided” Murder: Mother and Son Slit Man’s Throat in Chintal

A sensational murder case has rocked the Ambedkar Nagar locality of Chintal, Jeedimetla, where a woman and her son allegedly killed her live-in partner after using the internet to plan the crime. The victim, identified as Shiva Reddy, had been in a live-in relationship with Garlapalli Aruna for nearly a decade. According to police reports, Aruna and her son, Trivikram, decided to eliminate Shiva Reddy due to his persistent alcohol-fueled harassment and domestic violence. The duo reportedly used Google and YouTube to research “efficient” ways to commit the murder and evade police detection before slitting the victim’s throat on Tuesday night.

The investigation revealed a chilling level of premeditation. The mother and son reportedly spent hours searching for technical methods to kill a person quickly and looked for tips on how to hide forensic evidence from the police. After committing the gruesome act, they attempted to clean the crime scene and dispose of the evidence, believing that the “digital tutorials” they watched would help them escape the law. However, local police, acting on suspicious movements and a tip-off, quickly apprehended the duo before they could flee the city.

This incident has caused widespread alarm in Hyderabad, highlighting a disturbing trend of criminals using online resources to facilitate violent acts. Jeedimetla police have registered a case of murder and are currently interrogating Aruna and Trivikram to determine if anyone else assisted them in the crime. Forensics teams were also deployed to the house in Ambedkar Nagar to gather digital and physical evidence, as the case serves as a grim reminder of how technology is being weaponized in domestic disputes.
