Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has officially announced prominent industrialist Lingamaneni Ramesh as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. The decision was finalized on Friday evening, clearing the air around the single seat allocated to the Jana Sena Party under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) coalition framework in Andhra Pradesh. Lingamaneni Ramesh is scheduled to file his official nomination papers on Saturday afternoon.
According to an official statement released by the party, Ramesh has shared a close association with Pawan Kalyan and the Jana Sena Party since 2015. He was reportedly drawn to Pawan Kalyan’s vision of social engineering and community harmony as essential drivers for the state’s development, providing consistent backing to the party leadership over the past decade.
The Jana Sena Party emphasized that despite the party’s major electoral setbacks in the 2019 elections, Ramesh remained steadfast in his loyalty, keeping complete faith in the party’s core ideology and leadership. Standing firm through numerous political challenges and pressures, his nomination reflects Pawan Kalyan’s core principle of rewarding dedicated loyalists with prominent nominated positions without religious or caste biases. The party leadership explicitly highlighted that this prestigious opportunity has been extended to Ramesh as a recognition of his unwavering support during the party’s toughest times.
