Pulse Polio Program to Begin Tomorrow

The Pulse Polio immunization drive is set to commence tomorrow across the region, aiming to safeguard children from the debilitating disease. Health officials have finalized all necessary arrangements, setting up booths at accessible locations including primary health centers, government hospitals, and anganwadi centers. Parents are strongly urged to bring their children aged five years and below to the nearest booth to receive the oral polio drops, ensuring complete protection against the virus.

To ensure comprehensive coverage, mobile teams and frontline health workers have been deployed to reach remote areas, railway stations, and bus stands. Special vaccination camps will also be organized in high-risk areas, including construction sites and nomadic settlements, to ensure no child is left unvaccinated. The campaign relies heavily on the active participation of community leaders, volunteers, and parents to achieve the target of 100 percent immunization.

Medical authorities emphasize that even if a child was administered the drops during previous drives, taking them during this nationwide campaign is crucial for building lasting immunity. Adequate stocks of the vaccine have been distributed to all centers, and strict cold-chain protocols are being maintained to preserve the potency of the doses. The administration has called upon the public to cooperate with health workers and make the immunization drive a grand success.
