Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has launched a scathing attack on former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of harboring a deliberate agenda to undermine the Hindu religion. The Minister’s remarks come amidst a highly charged political atmosphere where the YSRCP leadership has faced consistent scrutiny and allegations from the ruling NDA alliance regarding their handling of religious and cultural affairs in the state.
Minister Satya Kumar highlighted that such actions are part of a broader “destructive political” narrative that the former Chief Minister has allegedly promoted to create communal divisions. He argued that throughout his tenure, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s policies and his government’s approach toward temple administration and religious institutions were aimed at marginalizing Hindu traditions. The Minister stressed that these efforts were not merely political errors but a concerted attempt to erode the cultural and religious fabric of the state for narrow electoral gains.
Furthermore, the Minister stated that the public has already recognized these intentions, leading to the YSRCP’s significant electoral setback in the recent assembly polls. He asserted that the current NDA government, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is committed to restoring the sanctity of religious sites and ensuring balanced development. He warned that continuing to pursue such divisive propaganda will only lead to further alienation of the YSRCP from the electorate and ultimately weaken the party’s own future.
