Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka challenged former Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to explain the debt accumulated during the BRS government’s tenure. He claimed that the state’s total debt had reached ₹8.21 lakh crore, including outstanding liabilities from the previous administration, and questioned whether these figures were incorrect, demanding that KCR provide a clear explanation.
Speaking to the media, Bhatti accused BRS leaders K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) and Harish Rao of attempting to downplay the state’s debt burden. He alleged that Harish Rao was ignoring his own role as a former finance minister and was spreading misleading information on several issues. Bhatti said the public deserved to know the facts about the state’s financial condition.
The Deputy Chief Minister also criticized the BRS for allegedly spreading false narratives through social media and accused the party of governing the state for a decade based on misinformation. He claimed the previous government had pushed Telangana into heavy debt and questioned how long BRS leaders would continue denying the reality instead of taking responsibility for the state’s financial situation.
