Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra chaired the party’s first review meeting on the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls on Friday. The meeting assessed the progress made during the first two days of the exercise, which began on July 1. Senior BJP leaders, district presidents, SIR team members, and Booth Level Agent (BLA-2) coordinators from across Delhi attended the review.
BJP MP and SIR in-charge Yogender Chandolia said the party has registered BLA-2 representatives at more than 12,000 of Delhi’s 13,033 polling booths. He stated that these workers have been actively involved in voter verification and mapping and are fully prepared to assist the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) appointed by the Election Commission during the revision process. Former MP Ramesh Bidhuri and advocate Sanket Gupta have been assigned to coordinate with the Election Commission and oversee the training of BLA-2 representatives.
Separately, the Delhi BJP also held a joint meeting of its state media department and newly formed district media teams at the party office. The meeting, chaired by media chief Praveen Shankar Kapoor, focused on strengthening media coordination and briefing newly appointed district spokespersons on communication strategies and media engagement guidelines.
