The Telangana government has made elaborate arrangements for the grand celebration of Ashada Bonalu 2026, one of the state’s most significant cultural and religious festivals. Scheduled to be held from July 16 to August 13, the festivities will take place across major temples from Golconda to Lal Darwaza. Hyderabad District In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said all departments are working in coordination to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for the lakhs of devotees expected to attend.
To support the celebrations, the government has released ₹15.05 crore for 3,427 temples across the state. The funds will be used to decorate temples, organize rituals, and conduct the festivities on a grand scale. Special emphasis has been placed on enhancing the spiritual and cultural experience for devotees during the month-long festival.
Authorities have also put in place comprehensive arrangements for crowd management and public convenience. The GHMC, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Electricity Department, Police, and Health Department are coordinating efforts to provide sanitation, drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, security, traffic management, and emergency medical services throughout the Bonalu celebrations.
