Four individuals, including the son of a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), were detained during a special anti-drug operation conducted by police in Hyderabad’s Mangalhat area on Wednesday night. The joint operation was carried out by the EAGLE Team, Law and Order Police, and Excise Department officials as part of an intensified crackdown on narcotics.
Acting on specific intelligence, police were monitoring the area to track down an alleged drug supplier when they intercepted the four suspects. The individuals were reportedly detained while attempting to purchase narcotic substances and were taken into custody for further investigation.
The suspects were shifted to the Mangalhat Police Station, where blood samples were collected to determine whether they had consumed drugs. They were later taken to Osmania General Hospital for additional medical examinations. Police said the investigation is still in its early stages, and the identities of the key accused have not yet been officially disclosed.
