Although India suffered a defeat in the third ODI against England at Lord’s, senior batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli once again showcased their experience by building an excellent partnership. Speaking to BCCI TV after the match, Rohit Sharma made interesting comments about his bond with Virat Kohli. “We have been playing together for many years, and our understanding has developed really well. I love batting with Virat, and I enjoy it a lot,” said the Hitman.
The Lord’s ODI also marked another historic milestone in the careers of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. It was their 400th international match together, making them the first Indian pair and only the sixth pair in world cricket history to achieve this feat. Together, they have played 234 ODIs, 106 T20Is, and 60 Tests for India, surpassing the record of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, who played 391 matches together.
