The Andhra Pradesh High Court has expressed strong displeasure over the delay in the investigation into a case involving allegations that ₹37 crore was diverted with the help of the Ranger Play app. The case, involving Kommareddy Avinash, came up for hearing before the court after police informed the bench that the investigation was still underway.
The court questioned why the investigation had not been completed even though three years had passed since the case was registered. The bench also sought to know how much longer the police would take to file the chargesheet and expressed dissatisfaction over the prolonged delay in the proceedings.
The High Court directed the police to explain the reasons behind the delay in the investigation. The court’s remarks underline its concern over the prolonged pendency of the case and the need for the investigation to be completed without further unnecessary delay.
