Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagenthran has sparked controversy with remarks directed at Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK leader M.K. Stalin’s son, Udhayanidhi Stalin. His comments came in response to remarks allegedly made by Vijay, who questioned where his father was after M.K. Stalin’s electoral defeat.
Nainar Nagenthran appeared to make a personal reference to Vijay’s mother while responding to the statement. He said that some people in the Assembly were searching for their father, adding that asking the mother at home would reveal who the father was.
The BJP leader further criticised the current government, saying that searching for answers in the Assembly would not help. His remarks have triggered criticism, with political observers and opponents questioning the use of personal references in political debates.
