Penumantra: Achanta MLA Pitani Satyanarayana said the alliance government is giving top priority to women’s empowerment and economic self-reliance. He said women’s self-help groups are emerging as a driving force for financial empowerment and playing a key role in improving the economic well-being of families.
A felicitation programme for women and child welfare department personnel and DRDA-Velugu staff from the Achanta constituency was organised at the Sri Venugopala Auditorium in Marteru, Penumantra mandal, on Saturday. Pitani Satyanarayana presided over the event, which was held to recognise the efforts and services of the staff.
Speaking at the programme, the MLA highlighted the importance of strengthening women’s organisations and supporting their efforts towards financial independence. He said the government would continue to encourage initiatives aimed at improving opportunities and welfare for women and children.
