City Mayor Kolagani Srinivas laid the foundation stone for drainage works to be taken up with municipal general funds in Vidyaranyapur, located in the 3rd division of the Municipal Corporation. He said steps were being taken to improve basic infrastructure in residential colonies and provide a permanent solution to drainage-related problems.
The Mayor stated that priority was being given to improving civic amenities and addressing long-pending issues in different divisions. The proposed drainage works are expected to help improve sanitation and reduce waterlogging problems in the area.
Later, Mayor Kolagani Srinivas visited Balajinagar in the 23rd division, where CC road and drainage works are also proposed to be taken up using municipal general funds. The civic body officials and local representatives participated in the programme.
