The Telangana government on Wednesday issued orders transferring and assigning additional responsibilities to several senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across key departments, including Energy, Revenue, Transport, Urban Development, Health and Family Welfare, and Tribal Welfare.
The orders were issued through G.O.Rt.No.1553 by the General Administration (Special-A) Department, under the authority of Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju.
Jayesh Ranjan, a 1992-batch IAS officer serving as Special Chief Secretary for Metropolitan Area and Urban Development (HMDA Limits), has been transferred and posted as Special Chief Secretary of the Energy Department. Jayesh Ranjan has also been assigned Full Additional Charge (FAC) of Director General of the Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (EPTRI), replacing Shailaja Ramaiyer.
Vikas Raj, also a 1992-batch IAS officer, has been transferred from the Transport, Roads and Buildings Department and posted as Special Chief Secretary of the Energy Department, replacing Navin Mittal.
Navin Mittal has been posted as Special Chief Secretary of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Rural Water Supply and Rural Sanitation, replacing M. Dana Kishore.
A. Vani Prasad, Special Chief Secretary of Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture, has been assigned FAC of the posts of Special Chief Secretary for Sports and Director of Heritage Telangana, relieving Jayesh Ranjan of these responsibilities.
Shailaja Ramaiyer has been posted as Principal Secretary of the Revenue (Endowments) Department.
Rahul Bojja, Principal Secretary of Revenue (Disaster Management), has been assigned additional charge as Principal Secretary of Tribal Welfare, replacing Sabyasachi Ghosh. Rahul Bojja will continue to hold additional charge of the Backward Classes Welfare Department.
Ilambarithi K. has been posted as Secretary of Transport, Roads and Buildings, replacing Vikas Raj. Ilambarithi K. will also hold additional charge as Commissioner of Transport while continuing existing responsibilities in the Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Department.
Sarfraz Ahmad, Metropolitan Commissioner of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), has been assigned additional charge as Secretary for Metropolitan Area and Urban Development. Sarfraz Ahmad will also serve as Special Officer for the Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporations, relieving Jayesh Ranjan.
Shruti Ojha has been posted as Special Secretary of the Women, Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens Department.
Md. Musharraf Ali Faruqui has been transferred and posted as Director of Health and Family Welfare, with additional charge as Director of the Institute of Health and Family Welfare. Md. Musharraf Ali Faruqui will also retain additional charge of Telangana Rythu Power Distribution Company Limited.
Dr. S. Sangeetha Satyanarayana has been posted as Director of the Women, Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens Department, replacing Shruti Ojha.
Jitesh V. Patil, Chairman and Managing Director of TGSPDCL, has been assigned additional charge as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of TGREDCO.
The government directed the concerned departments and officers to take necessary action in accordance with the orders.
