Pakistan Has Links to Terrorism.. Asaduddin Owaisi’s Sensational Remarks in Riyadh..

Member of Parliament from Hyderabad and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi made sensational allegations during an event held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. He stated that Pakistan has clear links to terrorism, supported by irrefutable evidence. Calling for strict international action, Asaduddin Owaisi demanded that Pakistan be re-listed on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list to curb funding to terrorist organizations.

Owaisi cited a photograph from a recent ceremony where Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir was conferred with the rank of Field Marshal. In the photograph, Owaisi noted that internationally recognized terrorist Mohammad Ehsan, identified by the United States, was seen seated next to Asim Munir and even shaking hands with him. “This is clear evidence of Pakistan’s ties to terrorism. To prevent funding to these terrorist organizations, Pakistan must be placed back on the FATF grey list,” said Asaduddin Owaisi.

He further alleged that terrorist groups are flourishing in Pakistan, receiving training and support, and are aiming to destabilize India by inciting communal tensions between Hindus and Muslims.

Regarding the case of Sajid Mir, a key accused in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, Asaduddin Owaisi accused Pakistan of spreading falsehoods. He stated that despite Indian investigative agencies providing all evidence to Islamabad after the attacks, Pakistan failed to take any meaningful action. “Only after Pakistan was placed on the FATF grey list did it show some movement in the investigation,” he said. Owaisi recalled how Pakistan initially claimed Sajid Mir was dead when India demanded his conviction at a meeting in Germany, but later the FATF committee confirmed that Sajid Mir was alive. He clarified, “Indian courts sentenced Sajid Mir to five to ten years, but Pakistan continues to spread the rumor that the primary accused are still free. In reality, they were convicted only for money laundering, not for terrorism.”

Owaisi also mentioned that Indian investigative agencies had recorded conversations between the 26/11 attackers and their handlers in Pakistan, which were shared as evidence with Islamabad. “Following all due legal procedures, India sentenced Ajmal Kasab to death. He confessed many details. These recordings clearly reveal terrorists based in Pakistan communicating from five-star hotels, instructing to kill as many Indians as possible to attain heaven,” said Owaisi.

He recalled the 2016 terrorist attack on the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot, pointing out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Pakistan without invitation shortly after the attack, asking Pakistan to send its own team to India to examine the evidence. “Pathankot was attacked. Our Prime Minister visited Nawaz Sharif’s residence in Pakistan uninvited. I criticized the visit at that time, and so did the opposition parties. We lost several soldiers in the attack,” said Owaisi. “The Prime Minister invited a Pakistani intelligence team and handed over all the records. Yet, nothing happened. If someone asks why we should not engage with Pakistan, the counter-question is—who in Pakistan should we talk to?” he questioned.

As part of India’s international campaign to publicize “Operation Sindoor,” a multi-party delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda also included Asaduddin Owaisi, Nishikant Dubey (BJP), Phangnon Konyak (BJP), Rekha Sharma (BJP), Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla. The group has been explaining New Delhi’s stance and fight against terrorism to partner countries as part of a global awareness initiative.
