Hyderabad is all set to host the prestigious Miss World 2025 grand finale. The suspense over who will claim this year’s global beauty crown will come to an end in just a few hours. The grand event is scheduled to take place today (Saturday, May 31, 2025) at the HITEX Exhibition Center, with all arrangements now finalized, according to Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana.
Jayesh Ranjan stated that following five days of internal competitions, 40 out of 109 participants have qualified for the quarter-finals. He explained that during the event starting at 6:00 PM today, semi-finals and finals will be conducted among these 40 contestants, eventually narrowing down to a final group of eight. Special international judges will question these eight finalists and select the winner based on their performance, he added.
Jayesh Ranjan further mentioned that the announcement of the new Miss World 2025 winner is expected around 9:15 PM tonight. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Miss World Organization Chairperson Julia Morley, and the reigning Miss World 2024 Kristýna Píšková from the Czech Republic will jointly crown the new global beauty queen. In addition, continental winners representing five regions will also be announced on the same stage.
The event venue at HITEX Hall has a capacity for 3,500 attendees, with 1,000 tickets made available to the general public to encourage widespread participation, said Jayesh Ranjan. The competition will be broadcast live in over 125 countries. Commenting on India’s chances in the competition, he noted that while it is too early to predict the outcome, he expressed optimism about a bright future for the Indian contestant.
