A massive controversy has erupted following inflammatory comments made by a BJP leader targeting actor Prakash Raj. VaniPalli Srinivas Reddy, the BJP President for Rangareddy Urban District, made sensational remarks stating that if anyone were to kill Prakash Raj, he would be ready to stand as the ‘A1’ (primary) accused in that murder case. This statement comes in response to satirical comments recently made by the actor regarding Lord Rama and the Ramayana, which had already drawn significant backlash from various groups.
Srinivas Reddy lashed out at the actor for his remarks about Lord Rama and Lakshmana, accusing him of insulting sacred Hindu beliefs while criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP leader alleged that Prakash Raj, while claiming to be an atheist, specifically targets Hindu Dharma for his critiques. He further described the actor as an “Urban Naxal” and a member of the “Tukde Tukde gang,” referencing the actor’s past support for certain student movements at JNU and his participation in beef festivals.
Issuing a stern warning, Srinivas Reddy stated that BJP workers would track the actor’s tour diary and disrupt any film shootings featuring him. He demanded that top heroes and producers in the film industry completely ban Prakash Raj from Tollywood. He concluded by asserting that in “Naya Bharat,” any insults toward Sanatana Dharma would not be tolerated, even hinting at “anonymous operations” seen elsewhere as a cautionary note for the actor.
