“Are You Crazy?”: Woman Confronts BJP MLA Over Traffic Chaos; Video of ‘Nari Shakti’ Goes Viral

A dramatic confrontation in Mumbai has become the talk of the town after a common woman directly challenged senior BJP MLA and former Minister Girish Mahajan during a political rally. The incident occurred in the Worli area, where the BJP was conducting a ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ rally to protest against the opposition regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill. As Mahajan was addressing the media, the woman, frustrated by the massive traffic congestion caused by the event, walked up to him and demanded an immediate end to the disruption.

The woman did not hold back, shouting in Hindi and questioning why political parties insist on holding rallies on busy roads when open grounds are available nearby. “Move from here first! You are causing a traffic jam. Don’t you understand that hundreds of people are waiting?” she fumed. Despite attempts by the MLA and his supporters to calm her down, the woman continued her tirade, asking if the leaders had “gone crazy” to ignore the plight of thousands of commuters for a political “show.”

The video of the encounter quickly went viral on social media, with many netizens hailing the woman’s bravery as a true example of “Nari Shakti” (Woman Power). While some commented that this is how the public should hold politicians accountable, others criticized the culture of inconveniencing common citizens for political gains. In a later statement to the media, Girish Mahajan acknowledged the incident, noting that the woman was very angry and that her frustration reflected the general mood of many people stuck in the traffic jam.
