PM Modi’s Visit to Telangana: Full Schedule and Project Details

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Telangana for the first time since assuming office for his third term. This visit is highly significant both politically and developmentally, as he is scheduled to launch and dedicate projects worth approximately ₹8,000 crore. These initiatives span various sectors, including infrastructure, energy, and textiles, aimed at boosting the state’s economy and creating numerous employment opportunities.

Key Projects and Foundations

During his visit, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a Smart City at Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district, estimated at ₹2,360 crore, which is expected to revolutionize the industrial landscape. Other major projects include the foundation for the Gudebellur-Mahabubnagar National Highway (₹3,175 crore) and an Indian Oil Corporation terminal at Mallapur (₹611 crore). Additionally, he will dedicate the completed Kazipet-Vijayawada tripling works (₹1,243 crore) to the nation and initiate a Textile Park in Warangal (₹200 crore) to provide international recognition to the local handloom sector.

Official Visit Schedule (Sunday)

The Prime Minister’s itinerary is tightly packed, beginning with his arrival at Begumpet Airport via a special flight from Karnataka at 2:50 PM. By 3:30 PM, he will reach HICC via helicopter to unveil the foundation stones and plaques for the development projects. Following this, at 4:10 PM, he is scheduled to inaugurate the newly constructed Sindhu Hospital in the Hi-Tech City area. The visit will conclude with a massive public meeting at Secunderabad Parade Grounds at 6:30 PM, after which he will depart for Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Security and Administrative Preparations

The Telangana state government and police departments have made extensive arrangements to ensure the visit proceeds smoothly. Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao has held review meetings with various officials to coordinate security and logistical support. The BJP cadre is also in high spirits, viewing this visit as a crucial turning point for strengthening the party’s presence in the state following recent electoral outcomes in other regions.
