HYDRA Personnel Rescue Woman Stranded Overnight in Musi River

In a swift and commendable operation, HYDRA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency) personnel rescued a 49-year-old woman who had fallen into the Musi River near Amberpet. The agency shared details of the rescue on “X,” noting that their control room received an emergency call at 10:51 AM on Saturday. Demonstrating impressive efficiency, the rescue teams reached the site at Golnaka within just 16 minutes, initiating the operation by 11:07 AM.

The victim, identified as Indira, a resident of the Bhagyanagar area in Golnaka, reportedly slipped and fell into the river on Friday night. She became trapped in a precarious section of the riverbank where dense trees and steep terrain made it impossible for her to climb out. Despite her cries for help, she remained unnoticed throughout the night, enduring hours of fear in the water until locals finally spotted her after 10:00 AM the following morning.

Recognizing the difficulty of the terrain, locals contacted the HYDRA control room for professional assistance. A Disaster Response Force (DRF) team, led by rescue in-charge Swami, arrived on the scene and collaborated with local fire department personnel. Using a large ladder to descend the difficult bank, DRF members successfully reached Indira and pulled her to safety. Following the rescue, she was reunited with her family and handed over to local police, later explaining that she had accidentally slipped while walking near the edge. Local residents have widely praised the HYDRA team for their rapid response and life-saving intervention.
