Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is scheduled to visit Rajamahendravaram to inspect the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu. According to official reports, he will reach the city tomorrow evening (Sunday, May 24, 2026) and make an overnight halt there. This visit assumes high administrative significance as the state government is looking to ensure top-notch arrangements for the massive spiritual festival that draws millions of devotees.
Strategic River Inspection and Official Review Meeting
On Monday morning (May 25, 2026), the Deputy Chief Minister will embark on a boat journey along the Godavari River, traveling from Pushkar Ghat to Kotilingala Ghat to personally evaluate the safety measures, ghat construction, and public amenities. Following his riverine inspection, Pawan Kalyan will head to the Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation office. There, he will chair a high-level review meeting with top bureaucrats, local officials, and elected public representatives to streamline the execution of the festival’s master plan.
State Machinery Mobilizes for Security and Pollution-Free Festivities
In anticipation of the VVIP visit, State Minister Kandula Durgesh alongside District Collector Kirthi Chekuri inspected the locations today to ensure smooth coordination. Minister Durgesh emphasized that the alliance government is treating the Godavari Pushkaralu with the utmost prestige, focusing on a robust security blanket to prevent any untoward incidents. Furthermore, the administration explicitly noted that stringent environmental protocols are being implemented to deliver a completely pollution-free and ecologically conscious Pushkaralu experience for incoming pilgrims.
