Air Force Jets Enlisted to Transport NEET Re-exam Papers to 18 Strategic Hubs Across India

In an unprecedented move to guarantee maximum transparency and eliminate any possibility of leaks, the Central Government has completely overhauled its security apparatus for the upcoming National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) re-examination scheduled for June 21. Following the widespread controversy and subsequent cancellation of the initial exam held on May 3, authorities are treating this re-test as a matter of highest national priority. For the first time in the country’s educational history, the Ministry of Education has partnered with the Ministry of Defence to deploy Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft specifically to transport medical entrance question papers directly to 18 highly secure, strategic regional hubs across the country.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized that enlisting the services of the Air Force ensures an unbreachable chain of custody, effectively neutralizing any threats of cargo tampering during transit. Alongside military logistics, the ground-level security network has been exponentially fortified. Over 500,000 security personnel and invigilators will be stationed at designated test centers nationwide. Furthermore, in a technological first for the national examination board, advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered surveillance cameras are being integrated into exam halls to monitor candidate behavior in real-time and eliminate instances of cheating or proxy attendance. Specialized digital units will also actively monitor social media channels to rapidly intercept and counter any paper-leak rumors or misinformation.

The strict protocols also extend to the very origins of the question paper. To prevent leaks at the sourcing stage, the entire panel of subject experts and paper setters was placed under strict isolation at an undisclosed, highly secure facility more than three weeks ago. These experts are completely cut off from the outside world, with absolutely no access to mobile phones, internet connections, or personal communication channels. This rigorous quarantine will remain firmly in place under round-the-clock administrative watch until the conclusion of the exam on June 21. By establishing this absolute digital and physical firewall, the government aims to conduct a completely leak-proof examination and fully restore public trust among millions of anxious students and parents.
