Andhra Pradesh IT and Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh visited Visakhapatnam on Tuesday to closely monitor the aftermath of the Vizag Steel Plant fire mishap. He visited KIMS Hospital to personally console the workers who sustained severe injuries and are currently undergoing intensive treatment. During his visit, Minister Lokesh met with the attending medical team to inquire about the victims’ current health status and reviewed the comprehensive medical services being provided to them.
The minister individually spent time with the injured workers, identified as R. Mallikarjuna Rao, Gudivada Arjuna Apparao, and B. Satyanandan, to obtain firsthand details regarding their condition. He strictly instructed the hospital administration and senior doctors to leave no stone unturned and ensure the highest grade of medical care and advanced treatment for the victims. Following the clinical review, Lokesh interacted with the anxious family members of the victims, encouraging them to stay strong during this difficult time.
Assuring full solidarity on behalf of the alliance government, Minister Lokesh promised the families that the state would stand by them in every possible manner and take complete care of their recovery process. A high-profile delegation accompanied the minister during this hospital visit, including Union Minister Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, Tribal Welfare Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani, Visakhapatnam MP Sri Bharat, and TDP State President Palla Srinivasa Rao, among other prominent leaders.
